Widcombe Association

The thriving Widcombe Association was formed in 1981 and is the largest Residents' Association in Bath. It exists in order to protect and enhance Widcombe and Lyncombe; to act as a channel for local opinion on Widcombe matters; to encourage community spirit by holding social events and promoting and sponsoring clubs and activities, including the Garden Club , The Local History Society and the Widcombe Mummers.We are really Glad to have the association on board and are being very supportive of the festival and have helped to fund some of the bursary places for young musicans who may have trouble affording to attend the summer school.

Bath Violins

Corrie Shrijver has been making and repairing bowed instruments for over 30 years.

Her shop is just down the road from the Bath folk festival club on widcombe social club and is open for visitors.

Corrie will also be sharing her experience and hosting two workshops on different aspects such as choosing a good fiddle and bow and how to get the most out if it as well as good tips and advice on care and maintenced for your instrument
